Besmehi Taala
Dear All salamalykom va rahmatollah
I saw a movie called "Mrs. Doubtfire" few times, some years ago. There was a scene in this movie where Robin Williams, the actor, when he was moving a stack of films from one place to another as his job, stopped and asked a person on his side, whom he did not know was his boss, something like this "Have you ever taught about pausing your life's movie frames, and asked yourself is this what you want to be or meant to be?", using movie frames which were related to his job.
We are all RUNNING all the time and in our community only one of us noticed that and made it an issue for herself or later for some of us. When our life is considered as a movie, God knows what we will see and notice if we just pause, stop RUNNING, for few minutes and WATCH and THINK!
Some times when I go home from my work I pass by a mosque in Amirabad on the other side of Tehran University dormitory. The scene there is like a famous scene of Indian movies where bunch of people hit each other with all kinds of un conventional weapons (swords, chains, large stones, ...). Movie makers from India are very careful about how much they spend in their movies and that is why you see the same people fighting in different movies. If you just pause in front of the mosque and watch, you would almost always witness the same scene, like Indian movies, of course with different actors. Black dressed crowd in the alley in front of the mosque. Some people standing in front of the entrance of the mosque with their heads down a bit, with red eyes and sadness in their faces. Bunch of white gladiola flowers with black ribbons, and the rest of the actors, men and women, standing in the alley chatting, laughing and talking about good times they had together some time ago. These occasions makes it possible for friends and relatives who do not get much chance and time to see each other have a friendly gathering. The lowest ranking (siahie lashkar) star in this movie scene is a DECIVED. He/she is not playing an important role. Poor guy has definitely RAN all his life as we did. I have told my sons, I can picture you guys, when I am a DECIVED character, as being at the center of attention laughing and enjoying yourselves!. Your red eyes, black dresses, and sadness fades faster than you can imagine. Let’s pause our lives’ movie for few seconds, watch it carefully, and think if this is what we want from our lives! I can imagine myself when I am put in my final home to rest, THINKING why I RAN with my head down all my life. The good part though is that I have finally stopped running, “AKHEISH”.
